Charles and Deirdrie Oak moved to their private island community to learn new languages, enjoy retirement, and relax.

That was until Charles turned blind.

 

Life with their gated-at-sea neighbours would never be the same again. Especially when a mainland plane, with stories of terrorist attacks and world collapse, crash-lands nearby.

 

As the passengers seek refuge with the disapproving community, what was set to be an odyssey of retirement, soon becomes an exodus of survivors.
