Robert is an author and screenwriter based in the UK, with an MA in Creative Writing and BA in Scriptwriting. He is currently undertaking a Practice as Research PhD, in The Contemporary Novel, at the University of Kent.

His 120,000 word research project (a novel) examines worth, success, greed, competitiveness, loneliness, happiness, camaraderie and belonging, in and around workplace fiction, using reality TV and gameshow narratives to illustrate his research. His adjacent commentary further explores our contemporary system's primal male outlooks, interests, and ambitions. His other work reflects on cinema, literature, identity and generational theory.

After gaining varied editorial and research experience identifying storytelling strengths and weaknesses (in continuity, grammar, formatting and factual accuracy), he now teaches local aspiring authors at Adult Education Centers to develop and write novels, plays and screenplays for film and television.
